Hey, I’m Kat — founder of Painted Maple and professional B.S.-caller when it comes to diet and fitness culture.
After decades of struggling on my own — and watching smart, capable women get fed up and burned out by false promises — I decided it was time to stop the madness. I got active, I got healthy, and turned my life around one small, sustainable habit at a time.
Now I help other women do the same — no shame, guilt, or “just try harder” nonsense.
I’m a Certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach, and Health & Well-Being Coach with a mission:
To help women move and feel better in their bodies — with strategies that are evidence-based and support that’s full of empathy and care.
On a personal note, I’m based in Northern Indiana (and the Cape Fear Region of North Carolina, depending on the time of year) with my husband and dog, Maple Syrpup. I believe in compassionate sarcasm, comfortable calm, and the power of a well-balanced plate and life. I’ve seen what’s possible when women stop trying to fix themselves and start trusting themselves — and I’m here for it.
